One nerd question: is a lidar a laser beam whose measured atmospheric refraction continously corrects a telescope?

I must say that in this version there is not much left to be seen of the interesting facial expression nor of the pose which make the other version interesting. This version seems to have no point of interest anymore.

Eerie! a bit Caspar David Friedrich-like. Maybe getting rid of the slight yellow cast would make it look even better -
Somehow I like the image; it makes me want to visit the place once. However, I think it would work much better as a panorama; see the attached file. (I also reduced contrast a little and removed a tiny bit of blue).
