  1. Good show. I have recently thought about trying to use barrel distortion in an 18 mm lens to try and give a false sense of the earth's curvature.

This is a very professional looking exmaple of just that. Gives you a real sense of the spinning, rusting planet of ours.

  2. Again, the perfect illusion of movement in a perfectly static mood shot. I shall have to better concern myself with just how you are able to achieve this, a 40 story building effortlessly sailing through the New-York sky like that, but for now I shall only rate this:

    7-a 7-o.

    Stormy Sunset

The situation of the clouds is just perfect

text-book movement idicator, which is why you (or rather, I) can see expedited cinematic sunsets and sundowns, countless dawns and dusks, in this otherwise non-presuming mood-shot. A jolly good job!

  3. Nothing beats a good old meteorite-size chunk of emerald in your back yard. The whole jewl box concept, which is ideal, to me, for urban shots was taken here to great levels of expertise. It's all perfect in this repect. Chapeau.

It's still the best show in town, isn't it, this world of ours. So that's 7 for originality.

And, of course, 7 for aesthetics - no explanation needed.

But why oh why not bigger?

I like this a lot. I would have "used" a different model, though, one with a whiter skin tone (seeing as the model is trying to blend in to the white world and not stand against it). Not that models are going by the pound, of course (I use my unfortunate - and as of lately, alarmingly incooperative - wife).
