Nope, my warranty was up. I don't remember the exact number of exposures you're supposed to get with the shutter but apparently I surpassed it. Let me know how things work out for you.

Sadly I had the same symptoms with my D70 about a month ago. The shutter blades would return to their normal position after taking a shot. I wound up having the shutter replaced (300usd) and all seems well. Good luck -kb

Digieffects.com has an aged film filter. Not sure of the cost.
CreativeMac has a tutorial that may help.

If you are using the Adobe Raw converter, when you open the RAW file in the lower left-hand corner you will see a drop-down menu. One for space and the other for depth. You can toggle the depth so that you image opens as either an 8 or 16 bit file. Hope it helps. -k

I don't think that you can. I believe that Minolta changed the lens mount when they introduced the Maxxum line. The only 35 mm system that I know of that will allow that kind of compatability is Nikon. Sorry.

Peter,
I also have a 500c that I recently had the screen changed. For me it made a world of difference. I don't know of anyplace in NY but you can send it to Bill Maxwell at:

Kip Babington has also listed a fairly simple procedure to do it yourself.

Seven,
There is a plug-in by AutoFX called Mystical Lighting that should do what you want. Not freeware though...150 USD. Good luck
