The only way this would be a better shot is if you had the face of the lady in red in perfect focus rather than the foreground. (You take what you get for timing.) Aside from that, excellent!
I like the blurred motion of the person on the right. It adds to the sense of motion in what would otherwise be an interesting (symmetric) static shot.
For a completely different approach, if most people were moving away from the camera, and there wasn't a highlight like the lady in red moving towards it, it would be fun to focus on the far distance and leave the foreground out of focus. That would add a sense of destination.
Very nice.

Any suggestions as to how to reduce the brightness of the sky behind
the plane?
Thanks.

I think the movement captured the enthusiasm. Comments?

I thought the illuminated tree(s) were a nice & different take on the
photogenic light show of the illuminated Cathedral in Washington, DC.

I came across this in the woods. I don't know if the arrangement is natural or if someone shifted them.

This downtown area has a fountain that shoots up jets of water from
various parts of the street, and the kids were running back and forth
trying to guess where to get wet, while I was trying to figure out
where to aim the camera for the best picture.
The time delay in the digital camera doesn't help.
It was an action shot where I tried to set up for a good angle and
hope for the best.

You've got that right. :-(

I took this photo as is (although I tweaked the contrast a tiny bit.)
I think that if I crop it it would make a better story.
Any suggestions for how to crop it to get the child in the background
skipping along the game board a more central focus to the "story"?
Thanks in advance.

Very funny composition and title! I would make the goose on the far left slightly smaller and move it away a bit from the others to add more symmetry to the photo. The relative size makes the geese on the far right and left look like they are in the foreground, when their viewpoint makes me think they should be in the background, watching the backs of the middle three, but this is a minor point. Plus, the shadows are wrong, so if you could alter the shadow in the "mirror" goose to the right of the central goose to match the other two it would be more realistic.
Still, looks like a scary hydra headed goose that I wouldn't want to cross! :-)
Excellent detail in each goose photo.

Great capture! Excellent timing, composition, and focus! The colors and lines are excellent.

Very funny! What child hasn't had imaginary creatures play with them?
I'm glad that the child's expression shows determination rather than fear.

Naman, the person hanging out on the left acts as a counterweight so the bike won't flip over in high speed turns. He hangs out there for right turns, then scramble over and lean out past the driver for left turns.
It's like the crew leaning out over the railing during sailboat racing.

It looks like an engraving, which is a nice effect. The sky (and to a lesser degree, the grass) doesn't, which takes away from the initial impression. Perhaps some photoshop to make the sky look engraved?
Nice shot and nice composition.

Very nice, but I think the meadow between the trees is too green and artificial. I would like it better if it was similar to the meadow to the right of the trees.
Great idea though.

This fire was moving downhill and upwind, which was somewhat scary. I could see individual trees burst into flames but didn't catch it on film. It eventually burned 8,000 acres of the park and closed one of the exits, but it is a very large park.

The fire was going downhill and upwind. We could watch individual trees burst into flame, but I was unable to catch that on film.

Great shot. Great title.
I think it's the caption for the photo that really makes one think about what the past means, and yes, life goes on, which is the most important thing.
I would not use sepia as this girl is here and alive now and facing the future. Sepia implies the past and history.

Actually, I take that back about the focus. Having the foreground in focus gives the sense of where she is running to. Still, if she was a tiny bit more in focus (you could see her face more clearly) it would be better.
This is a suggestion, not a criticism. I couldn't take such a good picture.
