So many nudes... in PhotoNet Site Help Posted July 29, 2002 I'm sure I'll be opening myself up for a HUGE amount of comments, but please understand my question before you reply :) I'm fairly new to photo.net and photography, in general. However, since joining recently, I've noticed a large amount of nudes posted in the gallery section. Not being a prude and enjoying a beautiful photo, this doesn't bother me. What does (now this is where "art" comes into play) is that they come up randomly and are often of a less artsy nature (to put it politely). I was under the impression that nudes could be categorized that way in the critique forum in order to prevent those who did not want to participate in nude critique from viewing those photos. As my computer is in a public room in my home, and I have young children, I wonder what prevents gallery nude photos from popping up without warning?? Again, this only refers to those photos that I (and I know this sounds like censorship, but it's not) find less than art -- the ones that nearly resembly porn, to a point. Thank you for your time and please don't respond to blast me on my opinion -- it is just that, opinion. :) Pam
