    In my monitor, the Image is rich in gray tones. Open it in Photoshop and take a look at the histogram. This image was taken on Ilford FP5 Black and white film. I do not desaturate in Photoshop, I like to take my black and white images in back and white film since I have more control (exposure an development). But whenever I make one of color images into Black and white I usually use a channel, the channel mixer or a combination of channels.

    Barbara, It is infrared film, that was used, the out of focus or softness of the image is waht i look in Infrared photography. I Used HIE film. Thank you for your comment.

    I think the windows being on make the picture, Great Job. I guess all photographers have a different view some are just jelous some are obscure I am all, but great job
