<p>Reading all this bugs me to no end. I hear the frustration in all of the responses. I would like to save my history state also. Exactly how William is asking. Bottom line, you can't do it. That bites my ass. Photoshop has gotten so good that we expect and want more and more and we want it with one click. I know I'm spoil. As I kick and thrash on the floor. I'm sure soon Adobe will remedy this for us in a dummy proof way. I really like it when it's dummy accessible :)</p>

<p>I love shooting weddings. With one exception... Catholic weddings. But it isn't for what you may think. My beef is dealing with the Priest. Everyone has different rules when it comes to flash photography. At this particular wedding I was allowed to use flash photography but I wasn't allowed to bring in my studio lights to shoot portraits after the wedding. For some reason the Priest at this particular site was so adamant about not using my studio lights it almost caused me to forfeit the shoot. Murphys Law. I couldn't stand that guy and of all the dang weddings I've shot I get one of the most memorable shots in my port.<br>

I posted two similar photos, one received 5 ratings and the other 15. Both totaled out within 1 hour. The better photo in my opinion was this one http://www.photo.net/photo/5895246&size=lg however the first rating was a 3/3, posted almost instantaniously. Bugs me to no end. I'm telling you we should have the ability to delete one rating per 7-10 posted. And the rater who did the rating should not be able to rate the photo again. I think this should hold true to anonymous raters only.

Some photos deserve 3/3, yet I have seen only a handfull. Mainly because the ones who do get the 3/3 don't deserve it and it pisses me off. And of course I'm speaking from personal ratings left on my photos all the time. I'm not the best photog or greatest editor, however 3/3 pop up before I can refresh my screen to check ratings.

 

That is why PN should give us the option to delete One rating for every 7-10 ratings received. And for the rating deleted that rater can not rate on your photo again. Excluding those who do not rate you anonymously.

Thank you Philip. Understand you are viewing our comments based on the revenue you think, that we think you are earning. I believe what you are reading are compassionate statements by photogs, who feel this site is special, it is personal, our site. The Amazon add for the most part, felt like an infection we all got. We were horrified. You explain to us that it is just a childhood disease that will pass. Ok whatever right. Your choice to remove the add from the paying customers is a good move, however, even those who don't pay, and have their beloved images posted on this site, will feel a sting. Philip we feel violated. And through the course of being the moderator and the property owner puts you in a precarious position. You know the cost, you know your clients. For business and pleasure to work sometimes one has to suffer for the other. I hate it. Makes you mean and me a doormat. Choices

Who is Dr. G? If he is responsible for this, as you describe as a lack of respect David, huge ad in the middle of our pages, how do we rectify this. I personaly feel that a benefit to this site would be a next function in the photo preview. The slideshow feature is very poor because of the compression. If your image is larger than the slideshow limit, then your photo is shown shrunk and crucified. Back to the ad. Is the side, like in this forum post not enough?

Please tell me this is a bug. I noticed the ad in a few ports, thought it was

some photog hacker doing some work. Please please tell me that this is just a

glitch
