  1. Thanks Van, I appreciate that. There is something about it that isn't quite there for me, but I can't put my finger on it. I think it might need to be sharper, or perhaps needs more contrast. I was hoping someone might provide illumination.

Part of a series of New York mannequins. Only manipulation is of the

brightness and contrast. It was interesting to me how different the

feeling of this image is from the original, which I'll post here as

well. Comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

An original approach to the focus of an image - it's not a particular location, but the overall pattern formed by the uK's that I see. Still, I'd prefer it with a single point of focus within that pattern. The focus at the moment for me vacillates between the lower right uK and the upper left uK's. I only saw the flag after a while. Be cool if just the lower right uK shirt were in color, like yellow or orange.

    Congrats - happy shooting.

A striking photo. Since you ask, here's one cropping I came up with. I found the sign on the left distracting and too "normal" for the shot, which had a very heightened-reality feeling to me. You could even try cropping out everything above the ice to remove the viewer entirely from realitty, but I kind of like knowing that this beautiful thing actually existed.

Great use of parallel lines and shapes, but it took me a minute to find her face. Might provide a stronger focus if you crop on the left, maybe to the first bit of white behind her. Great photo.
