This is not sharp at all. Please try it again with a tripod as the idea has merit.
-
Kind of neat. Would have been neater if this was shot w/ a 600mm lens.
-
Including the more of the people in the shot may have imporved it. This screams to be framed vertically.
-
Yes, it was diffused. The patterns in the grass are very prominant in the undiffused print.
-
Okay, so the subject is bit (a lot!) pretentious, but I am curious
about your thoughts on this particular print from what is a straight
documentary frame of the aftermath of recent western Washington
flooding. The documentary print is significantly lighter, and has
much more detail in the grass and car, as you might expect.
-
All *honest* critiques welcome.
-
The light and tones are pleasing, but I would have liked to see more seperation between the boat and the hills. Perhaps shooting this from other angles could be more effective. I'd love to see this shot from near the bow of the boat with a wide angle lens, making the mountains sweep around the right edge of the photo.

Not really sure what I am looking for with this shot... Honestly, its
just sort of a quirky outtake from my Denali photoshoot, but I would
be interested in your comments nonetheless.
-
Looking for honest evaluations of this photograph, specifically in
regard to a sense of place and scale. All comments, positive or
negative, are welcome, so long as they are sincere.

I am looking for honest critiques of this photo of Mt. McKinley, N.
America's tallest peak, as photographed through the windsheild of a
light aircraft. This photo represents my first foray into aerial
photography.
-
Am looking for any HONEST comments or critiques re: this photo from my first (and hopefully only :) wedding shoot. I'm primarily a landscape shooter, so this is a bit of stretch for me, but I am fairly pleased with the results.
By the way, the shallow DOF and focus on the hand was intentional. Not sure how well it worked, so if you care to comment on that, I wouldn't mind hearing.
And yes, I did take another @ F8 :)

I underestimate the amount of IR light that would be reflected at the
marina, and this image, out of camera, was vastly overexposed. I've
done my best to recover the image, but when you are saving something
that's not there to start with... Well, why don't you just tell me
how I did?
-
I like Shooting IR photos in situations where you wouldn't expect it,
like this Kodak HIE shot of a demolished plane on the ice at lake
hood. If I shot it using Tri-X, it might be considered photo
journalism. But the Kodak HIE image is truly more of an abstract.
Does it work? I'd love to know.

Digital B&W -- All honest critiques appreciated.

This shot is something of a departure for me, so I would be interested
in any comments or critiques. Feel free to be brutal.. I have thick skin.
-
I think the exposure is *almost* perfect. The snow at the bottom is too bright compared to the rest of the frame, which makes the whole photo look darker. although the exposure is perfect in each section of the photo, maybe the different brightness levels don't compliment each other?
-
All honest critiques are appreciated. This is a shot from the first
roll of Ilford SFX 200 I ever shot. It's not HIE, but it sure is nice.
-
The photo is too large to be easily viewed. I can't tell you exactly what went wrong here.. Maybe there was something on your lens, or it was a processing error? Possibly part of the film was left unexposed the chemicals?
-
The varied light sources are wreaking havoc with the color balance. Could be corrected by measuring (or estimating) the light temperture and using a color correct filter... Maybe FLD?
-
If only the scale were correct
-
I really wish the focus was placed at the front of the frame instead of the rear--Thats the way the human eye sees things. The way you've presented it, you eyes are drawn from the crisp clear top to the fuzzy bottom, where they are left slighty unsatisfied.
-
The DOF is too shallow, and the bottom bugs head is obscured. Its a good effort, but falls flat. Hopefully you'll have a chance to reshoot this?
-
Something about the guy outside the boat bothers me. The way it looks like he is pointing at the others, maybe? Despite that, The high key effect works very well for this photo.

I'm interested in hearing your comments on this, the first photo that
I ever sold.
