  1. Hi everyone, I acquired a Nikon F with Photomic T finder to

complement my F3. I know that coupling the lens to the meter should

be done by pre-setting both to 5.6. However, the meter coupling prong

just pushes the pin to the left (facing the camera) without coupling.

I end up detaching the finder, set it to 5.6, and put the finder back

on to couple to the lens. Did I do something wrong? Anyone has an

    easier way to change lenes?

In addition, how do I match up the maximum f/stop of the lens in use

with the ASA dial? I don't see any f/stop marking on the ASA dial?

    Thanks.

    Jason.

  2. Hi, after some researches and posting questions on this forum, I

finally purchased a Magnesium "Green Monster". After I received the

camera, I cannot figure out how to pull the rail down and put the rear

standard onto the rail. I don't want to force anything. The front

movements are simple, but how to I do rear swing? Anyone has the

    manual/instruction? Thanks.

  3. Hi everyone, I am quite new to large format. I have been shooting 4x5

for a while. Had a chance to look at another LF photographer?s 8x10

transparencies while shooting in a park, I decided to give 8x10 a try

to see if I like it. So I acquired an affordable Burke and James 8x10

in great condition. The standards actually lock quite solidly. The

problem is that when locked, the standards will move a bit. Is there

any way to improve/modify the locking mechanism to remedy the

    situation? Thanks.

  4. Colin,

Thanks again for your help. The upper rail is quite stiff to pull out. I have to use one hand to push on the lower rail while using the other hand to pull out the upper rail. Do you recommend lubricating the upper rail?

  5. Hi, after getting myself familiar with my MPP MK VII, I noticed that

the focus rail seems to have 2 tracks on top of each other. There is

something kind of catch at the end of the rails. Is MPP MK VII a

triple extension camera? If so, how do I operate the upper rail?

    Thanks.

  6. Thank you very much for the responses. I understand that MPP users usually use cone or flat boards for 90mm. I am curious if anyone used 90mm on MPP MK VII with recessed lens board. It seems to me that with one could maneuver movements easier with recessed boards than cone/flat boards, even though speed and aperture adjustments would be a bit inconvenient.
  7. Hi, I am looking for lens boards that will fit my MK VII. I know I

could find it on ebay and I actually ordered one from the UK. Does

anyone know a source in the U.S.? Are there any other lens boards

that would fit the MK VII? I am also interested in getting a recessed

board for my SA 90mm. Thanks.

    Jason.
