I feel this image has a nice "early morning" feel. Does anyone agree?
I'd value anyone's opinions on this image. That is, if anyone looks at
it ;-).

Hi,
Wondered what others thought of this image. I quite like it - the tree
has very interesting shapes and textures. Please don't judge sharpness
from this scan, the original is sharp but the scanner I used isn't
very good for transparencies.

WOnderfully moody ... Great fog & overcast lighting give a sense of mystery.

Taken outside Borough Market, one of London's oldest markets. A very
historic area, it's good for photography. Any comments on this photo?

Nice textures and colours. I also like the arrangement of shapes. Flat, overcast lighting works well with this kind of photo. A great image.

Any comments would be appreciated.

I used two images taken in the gardens of 18th century naturalist
Gilbert White's house in Selbourne which were overexposed to make
this image. Any comments?

A great, atmospheric image. I don't think any cropping is required.
-
A very contrasty image taken in Trebah Gardens in Cornwall. I have
done a little dodging & burning and am happy with it as an image. Any
comments?

Looks really ancient. The creepers and green algae-staining give interesting pattern, colour and texture. Good compostion - well spotted.

Taken around Rotherhithe in South London, of abandoned warehouses. I
was attracted by the shadow. Any comments?

I liked the light and geometry in this shot & feel it conveys
something of the atmosphere of the place. I'd appreciate any comments.
Thanks,

Beautiful. I could add a comment on every picture in this folder - they're all sublime. I don't think the hotspot in the foreground detracts from this photo at all.

Beautiful use of detail, lines and colours. Every photo of yours I've looked at has been utterly sublime so it was hard to choose one to comment on!

A beautiful arrangement of birds. Taken at just the right moment. Colours are nice too.
-
A interesting photo, but the background is a bit distracting from the subject.

Again, the soft colours and lighting are beautiful. Another wonderfully sympathetic image with a pensive feeling. Shades of Vermeer again? (All your images are excellent, especially the portraits).
-
A very sympathetic portrait, with beautifully soft light. I love the colours - the blues and the oranges contrast beautifully. More than good enough to be printed in a magazine or newspaper with an interview. Are you influenced by Vermeer at all?

An interesting portrait of a real character. Composition and exposure are excellent, but I think the photo would look better as plain black and white rather than sepia.

Antelope canyon looks like a great photo location but I've heard it's hard to photograph, due to the high contrast range. A great photo of a great location. The lines, shadows and colours are what always attract me to shots like this.

Interesting. An explosion of colour. Can't make out what it is though (although I think thats the point - its an abstract image?)
-
A beautiful image. The flare in the top right hand corner really perfects it.
-
A beautiful composition and great tonality. But it doesn't appear to be sharp in this scan. Apart from that, a great image.

A lovely image. The lighting is beautifully soft, with some light and shade, and the composition is excellent & original. I was directed to your image from a critique of my "Australian Tree Ferns, Trebah Gardens, Cornwall". Nice to see a picture of them back over in Australia (like them, I suppose, I am also an Australian in the UK, although that wasn't my reason for choosing the image for upload).
