Could you do anything to get more texture from the red rock in the foreground? Perhaps a polarizer to cut some of the haze, and add some texture?

Nice burn, good abuse of color and long exposure.

What's the pattern-over add to this image?

Nice composition, good color. Staged?

What's the frame signify in this shot? What's the lighting adding for you?
-
Not sure what the frame adds to this shot: is it real? Decent color, but fairl flat composition in my opinion.

Excellent preservation of textures, interesting side-lighting.

Interesting use of the silhouette. Have you considered more depth of field to preserve the mosaic of the water pattern?

Great macro work. Excellent detail, good color balance.

re focus: yeah, I thought it was neat that the fence was in focus, and nothing else was, although you could easily tell the backdrop was landscape. this was my second weekend out with the digital camera, so it's not as great a shot as I'd really have liked, but it's in my archives, so I'm using it as a starting point.
I did see it as a fenced-in sort of photo.

I love the balance in this photograph: a wave-randomized gradient from the bottom to the top, getting brighter as more of the haze in the sky is reflected, and then sun on the left, and the relatively darker reflected open sky on the right. Top it all off with a woman in transit, and it's a pretty interesting shot. If it were higher resolution, I'd like a print.
