  1. Sanford: For some reason your picture has a surreal quaility to it. The lighting and

composition, actually a frame within a frame, leaves me with the impression of an indoor

shot of a wax mannequin on a bench in front of a diorama. Wierd how the eye/brain connect

    works sometimes.

  2. I haven't seen this talked about anywhere but it seems to me that the DMR lends itself

beautifully to take advantage of future chip developments. As larger chips become

available would it not be cheaper and easier to upgrade the component of the back that

would be effected instead of building a completely new body around the chip?

  3. Let me apologize to all for being THE Mr. Sensitive. I found Jon's remark pedantic and

reading more like a rebuke to Paul than the friendly advice it is supposed to be. It was out

of place and unnecessary and I was offended by it and embarrased for Paul and couldn't

    let it

pass without comment. And had I noticed the smiley face dribbling off the bottom the first

time I read the comment instead of just now

I would have let it pass. So Jon, do you not understand the proper location of a smiley

face? It makes all the difference in the world. And as to my choice of words Eric, you pick

between the better of the two...'playground nazi' or pedagogue. In this instance I thought

the playground analogy worked; somebody's not playing by the rules, ya' know, and

making it too hard for the others. For having taken your comment the wrong way and for a

hasty response I apologize to you Jon and to the rest of the room for creating a dust-up.

Oh and Paul, I like your Santa Fe Goose

  4. Where do all of these playground nazis come from? They've been popping up like stinking

mushrooms the last couple of days. Give the theme some time to work Jon; there are a lot

of creative people in this forum and I'll bet someone can make a match.

  5. There is a certain amount of tension/tenseness in a vertical picture that is absent from a

landscape view regardless of subject matter. Consider that looking out of a dark enclosed

space through a narrow vertical slit is a different experience than looking out through a

narrow horizontal slit. How our eyes are situated on our face might indeed be why.
