Hi,

After only having my new Canon 20D for a month it was a real

pleaseure to capture this image recently. Using a 3 stop ND grad

filter for the sky. This image hasnt been touched at all in

photoshop. Comments welcome.

Very nice, Im sure the colours in the sky on the original are even more powerful. Nice composition as well and detail in the beach sand.

Taken in country NSW of Australia. The light is from the sun setting

just before it drops behind a mountain line.

 

Exposure is about 8 seconds, with a Tiffen Warming Polar for the

sky, shot on Velvia 50 iso rated at 32 iso and from memory I used a

2 stop lee ND filter. Fuji G617 was set on infinity with a Fstop of

32 so the ence line to the right wasnt to soft.

I am from Sydney and know exactly where you have taken this shot. The shadows seam to dark, I dont know if it is the scan? I would have liked to see you maybe taking the shot a bit more to your left to show the row of lights more clearly.

If you had gotten any closer Im sure your hair would have stood on end. The is a perfect example of right place, right time and perfect shutter and exposure timing. Well Done. Make sure if your going out wear rubber shoes :)

great angle and setting up of the shot, I would have liked to see the sky bluer with the polarizer, but still the colours are great, well done.
