An image from Aaron to demonstrate bokeh. It's wide open at 1/30 second
off a monopod.

Aaron Reynolds on the Pentax Discuss Mailing List http://www.pdml.net
has been using the 75/2.8 for a few weeks and his preliminary reports
suggest that it is very sharp with excellent bokeh. He provided some
examples of handheld shots at both wide and small apertures. The
results appeared to be excellent, insofar as that can be determined in
lo-res web scans.

I'm a long time Pentax collector/user in 35 mm, but I'm quite new to 6x7. In my search for affordable first lenses, i've noticed
that prices on the 150/2.8 are quite reasonable. However, I've seen some disparaging comments in regard to its sharpness. i
was pleased to see that you seem to disagree. Is there any reason why this lens is less expensive than most other 6x7
lenses? Does it have any serious drawbacks?

I'm a long time user and collector of Pentax 35 mm cameras (1 H3V, 4 Spotmatics including a motor drive version, an LX,
and 2 MX), but I'm new to 6x7. And it was only because I was able to find a bargain on ebay that I was able to get into the
big Asahi. I picked up a MLU 6x7 with prism for $202.51, just last week. It seems to be mechanically excellent with minor
cosmetic flaws. Needless to say, I'm very pleased. The holiday season seems to be a good time to hunt down ebay
bargains, since the serious equipment is not "present" material. Many shoppers are busy elsewhere. (I'm also very plesed I
found this community. Great place. Great info.}

t6-2X Teleconverter and 300/4
in Medium Format

Does anyone have experience with the T6-2X Converter on a 300/4 lens? Does this combination produce images of acceptable sharpness and contrast? Is there a better 2X converter for the 300/4?
