The LC-1 optional bracket is for 8MM movie cameras lacking an
accessory shoe. It can also be used to mount the receiver to the side
of an SLR. The other end would go between the camera body and the
tripod. This leaves the camera's hot shoe available for a flash.

The Synchro Cord A plugs into the PC outlet and allows one to use the
199A flash off camera, but the auto flash features will not work with
this setup. You would have to set the flash to Manual.

For about $35, you can get a cord which has hot shoe connectors on
each end, which will allow the flash to remain dedicated.

Your problem has the classic symptoms of lousy developing. Take a
roll of test film to a professional lab (not the "discount" places).
Sure, you'll pay more, but I bet the results will be much improved. A
good pro lab will examine and color-correct each negative. The high
school kid at the local drug store usually sets the machine on "auto"
and lets'er rip.
