Shutter noise of IIIc in Leica and Rangefinders Posted January 15, 2001 Bob, our researches have been fruitful. We found only one ball bearing supporting the rear-curtain claw in the Leica IIIc shutter. There are five ball bearings have been found in Leica IIIc-K shutter: one- the same as above said, two for the rear-curtain shaft, two for the front-shutter shaft, plus one ball bearing is set on the rewind knob shaft. Regards.
