I used my Makro-Symmar 120mm for some close-up pictures (around 1:1). I am happy with the results. However, I believe that Rodenstock, Nikon macro lenses are probably as good as my Symmar. I just happen to find this one on ebay with a Prontor Pro shutter for $600. I fact, at 1:1 magnification, I don't see difference between the Symmar and the Fuji A 180mm. The colors are slightly different. I also used a Ronar 300mm for 8x10 (moderate) close-up, and I am also happy with the result. Like everyone else mentioned, most of the time, the diffractions will equalize the performance of different lenses.

Steve had done some work for me, and I also met him at his shop a few years ago. He is such a nice, honest person. Of course, his work was wonderful. Big loss for all of us.

waiting for my order for 3 months now. I knew that it normally takes

4-6 weeks for them to deliver and they were a little behind, but

finally I am getting little impatient. So I hope to contact them

I used Gamma(Photobition) in Chicago. They do a fine job. However,

their price is not cheap( though not too expensive ). Since I will be

mailing film anyway, I just want to see if there are some good and

relatively cheaper place.

I need to find a mail order E-6 lab for 4x5 and 8x10. I left Chicago

last year and couldn't find a prolab near me. Can you recommend one?
