  1. I have a F-802 camera bag for my

M6ttl,35mm,90APO,SF-20,6rolls of film. I purchased it after

looking at a lot of bags, and for the most part I'm pretty happy

with it. Domke nonslip camera straps/ are the best IMO. The one

thing that I found is that people dont think I'm carrying a camera

BUT they do think I have a laptop! So I think that buying this for

fear of theft is a bit funny. I've found my next bag though

Crumpler Bags from JOBO. No one thinks this is a camera bag. I

really like the velcro on the front flap compared to the Domke

F-802. Maybe to crazy of a design for Leica photographers. ;0)

    Happy Day, Scott

  2. How do you afford Leica? I'm in debt up to my eye's with my new

m6ttl and 35mm summicron. Its been worth it. I was a

commercial photographer that stop taking pictures after work

because it became my job instead of the fun. I use to have fun

when I went to photo school and the Leica and that one lens is

making me think about photos again. Does anyone want to buy

    my F-100 and 20mm AF & 24-85 mm AF / Mamiya M7

150mm&65mm my VISA will love you.

  3. I have a Domke F-803. It's so small no one every knows you

have a camera. Also Domke bags have a great shoulder straps

that dont slip when walking around. The only problem is the you

must make sure your clasp on the front flap is closed or your M6

could go flying out! No velcro on the front flap to act as a

insurance if you dont clasp. My domke F2 bag for the F-100 has

velcro in the front. Who Knows!! I could sew some in I guess. I'm

thinking of buy one of these new

    bags.http://www.crumplerusa.com/index.html

I saw them at the N.Y. photo show and on one of these boards.

They have the VELCRO on front flap. I'm waiting for a catalog

    from the company.

    Good Day, Scott

  4. That sucks!!!!!!!!! SORRY Stuart

I learned this trick early on from a photo journalist so as not to

leave or have my camera equip. behind. Always, when you sit

down and down put your camera bag on the ground, put your

foot through the bag strap and snug it aginst your ankle. It

become second nature after a while. Prevents theft to. Hope this

helps some one else out. I know I would have left my bag at

some photo assinment by now if he wouldn't have told me.

    Sorry again. Scott

  5. Feeling bad? I was assisting for a photographer and returned to

his house at the end of a long day. I went to get in my car, when

I saw him through his camera bag on the back of his tallgate....

Yep, I watched as a front heavy bag tipped and rolled out three

Hasselblad and two Leica lenses down his driveway. Swearing

does'nt come close to what that guy went into that day. Ugh!

    -->Scott

  6. If your only scan negs for the web make sure you only scan at

72dpi jpg format. Screen resolution is only 72dpi, jpg is themost

widly use file format for web. Before your done with the image in

photoshop make sure it's not more than 250k so it will load fast.

You will want to scan for the best result from the negative (i.e.

Dmax and Dmin). The best scanner is depending on how much

money you have. Just like your leica you get what you pay for.

The Imacon Flextight Percision2 is the one I use.

Hope this helped. Scanning for high quality results is a whole

new can of worms. But it's fun and no inhaling of those nasty

    fixer fumes. Scott
