Hi,

 

I am wanting to up grade my telephoto lens. I currently have the canon

100-300 usm lens, it seems to be pretty soft at the long end. I am

thinking of getting the 70-200 L series and an extender. Will the

sharpness be better even with the extender? The other lens I am

considering is the 35-350 L. This one seems a bit much to tote around

and is also a big strech of the $$$$.Any feedback is welcome.

My daughter just purchased an Elan 7e. We noticed it and her 28-105 lens is made in Taiwan, others I have seen are made in Japan, as is my Elan 2e and my 28-105 lens. It was purchased from Abe's as a USA warantied body, grey market lens. Should we care? Any light you can shed on this would be appreciated.

I recently purchased an Elan IIE and I'm wondering about the usefulness of the Magic Lantern books. Some of the information in the owner's manual stops a little short in it's explanation. Any opinions?

I decided to purchase the Elan11E, thanks for the advice. Here's my question. Many of the reviews talk about some problems, i.e. batterie power failure and control knob breakage. Has Canon corected these problems or do I have this to look forward to?

I am planing to purchase an Elan ll and I am not sure weather to spend the extra money for the E model. I have heard mixed reviews, mostly negative. Any opinions?
