  1. Hello:

There is in fact 2 models of the FUJI Quickload back...the original

and a new Mk.2...........the only difference as far we can see is the

ability to mark the film with a spot to ensure you only use the film

once...........The FUJI Quickchange is a different device that we

import from Japan that resembles a Grafmatic fimholder, taking 8

    sheets of film.

    I hope this helps

  2. Dear Jim,

The SC 1 was originally fitted with a standard 6X9 Graflok fitting so

you can use RFH's from companies sucha as Horseman we sell both the

6X7 and 6X9 versions at £215 (approx $305) so things are not quite so

bad.......You could also use MAMIYA RB67 RFH's which can be purchased

    quite cheaply secondhand.

I do have an old but new G/glss screen in stock you can have for £20

    (approx $30)

Good luck and let me know if I can help further

    Robert

  3. Dear Steve,

We find that a 75mm is the shortest focal length that can be used

with any sense, a 65mm can be used without movements......I have

heard mention of a recessed panel but with a panel size of only 8cm

square I doubt it exists, or if it does how do you work the shutter.

  4. Hello:

Just another thought regarding extensions on EBONY cameras,

particularly useful with the SW and RSW Wide angle cameras, apart

from the 452 extension back which is quite bulky, EBONY manufacture a

couple of "Linhof Panel" fit extension tubes of 17mm and 35mm this

makes the SW and RSW work quite happily with a 210mm or some of the

Tele lenses such as a 360mm Tele Xenar...... This might make a

    difference to your future purchase

    Robert

  5. Dear Sandy,

The front filterthread of the 80XL is indeed 67mm.....we have not

heard of anyone having a filter touch the front element of an 80mm

the lens is quite recessed compared to the 110XL...... The KAESEMANN

Polars are probably the best in the world, they are polarized foils

under polished optical flat galss which unusually is edge sealed and

this makes them great in awkward climatic conditions......we will

always suggest them if a customer wants the very best and

particularly with APO lenses where the quality is so good.....The

mounts are brass and have edge numbers.Linear will be fine for your

    application.

    Robert

  6. Dear Paul,

The other answer is that the lens could have been one of the special

edition lenses SCHNEIDER made about 10 years ago, from memory they

made Three versions a 90 Super angulon and a 150 and 210 APO

Symmar .These all had Gold Plated front Lens mounts with an SE

number......If you feel you need one i still have a new 150/5.6 in

    stock.......

  7. I first saw the prototype of the Finesse last yar in Japan and had

the pleasure of seeing the new design this year......The camera is

constructed of Aluminum Alloy and is designed for Roll Film Holders

from 645 to 6X12 as well as the potential of digital.....lenses from

the new 38XL Schneider to 150mm using focussing mounts.....It has a

rise/fall of 25mm and the whole lens assembly rotates through 360'

so the movement can be in any direction......the weight of the body

c/w 6X9 RFH is approx 750g deliveries are expected to start next

month. The new Ebony site is certainly worth a look

  8. Sadly we cannot obtain 49mm Centre filters this side of the Atlantic

either......we are nowsuggesting people use a stepping ring from 49mm

to 52mm, not an ideal I know but at least it gets you

working......other than that keep your eyes peeled for a s/h

Schneider filter, they do crop up, often with the Plaubel Pro-Shift

    Good luck

    Robert

  9. Yes, the Horseman SW612PRO is certainly a very hand-holdable camera,

I use one myself for a variety of things including Motorcycle

    meetings....it works well.

The viewfinder masks are strange, they are called "Pre Shifted" they

show the image as it will appear with 10mm of shift apllied in either

the horizontal or vertical direction.......it is just a guide.

The ground Glass works fine with the 55 upwards but yes, with shorter

focal lengths you will get a darkening at the edges.

    I hope this helps

  10. FUJI QUICKLOAD Black and White

I have just returned from Japan and Fuji now sell their new 100ASA

ACROS emulsion in Quickload form which should prove better than the

current Neopan Commercial......We will be stocking it within a month

    or so.

  11. Joel,

We have had some s/h in the past, there are various models, the last

ones we saw were the Ds2 with geared rise on both front and rear

standards, Axis and Base tilts and a less expensive "Standard" which

only had Axis tilts . 90mm is about the widest you can go, they do

make a wide angle bellows (code 37) and a recessed board

(code 34) I hope this helps.

  12. Hi : The Synchro compur is the more preferable as you can still get

    them repaired , relatively easily.

To determine whether it is an 0 or 1 size , measure the diameter of

the locking thread and if it is 1.36 inch it is an 0 if it is 1.64

    inch it is a 1.
