As another follow-up question, Can i use my Speedlite 199A on a Canon Powershot G2? From the manual, it seems G2 can only use EX Speedlite but could it "see" a different model of speedlite?

Just a thought, would it harm the camera or the speedlite?

I have a Canon Speedlite 199A which i would like to use on my EOS 300

(Rebel II). I understand from a website that the trigger voltage of

199A is safe (within 6V).

For my question, how do i use the flash? Must i set it (199A)in the M

mode and set the aperture and shutter speed of the camera manually?

Can the 199A be set in the other 2 A mode? If yes, how then should i

set my camera's aperture & shutter speed?

A follow up question: can i use Canon Off camera shoe cord (OCSC 2)

with the 199A?

I am a beginner with a EOS 300 SLR. I am trying to decide whether to

buy a 2nd hand (& Older model) of Manfrotto tripod 190Pro or should i

purchase the newer model with the more features.

Can anyone help out in explaning what their differences mean (apart

from pricing, of course)?

Does anyone have any experience with Canon AE-1P with the rewind crank being jammed?. I send mine for repairs but they don't seem to know what to do about it.

They can actually fixed it but after trying thru' 1 roll - the problem comes back again. I have to send it back to them but then after 1 roll or so - the problem reappears.

The workshop even claim that the battery or the "magnet" needs to be changed.

Any ideas?

1) Vivitar series 1 70-210mm f/2.8-4

2) Canon EF USM III 75-300 f/4.5-5.6
