Yes Jim, the 533G is a big potato masher type flash.GN of 36 @ ASA
100 in metres, about 108 in feet. No zoom, but light spreaders for
lenses 24-100mm tilt and swivel yes,six AA batteries, slow
synch/manual controls. 3 auto stops. I like its rugged construction
and simple layout, great for weddings etc. Let me know if you want
more.

I had the 28-70 Tamron for several years of heavy duty real estate
work. The glass is sharp and contrasty, but the zoom is lightwieght
material and did not stand up to day-in-day-out use. For general
amateur picture making it is a bargain and I sometimes wish I had one
now for weekend walkabouts. The Adaptall mount ataches to the camera
just as a 'new FD'. You should try to get a lenshood for this one, it
is prone to flare because it has big glass in a shallow short mount.
remote shutter release for A1 or AE1

The long range user trigger method needs the LC-1 and the winder A2.
Goods for nesting birds etc. But I think David wants a remote animal
trap type set-up. I identified some thievin varmints with the A1,
winder A2 and an IR security alarm from Radio Shack. All snugged up
in plastic baggies it worked fine.
