  1. What is the best way to spot 4x5 negatives. I have a pinhole in my negative which was probably caused from the clothespin I used to hang the negatives. The surrounding area of the pinhole is dark. I tried using spotone but the ink doesn't seem to adhere to the negative.
  2. I had the 4 4x5 negatives printed on one 8x10 paper. I never had

any problems with light leak before in my B/W negatives. I checked

my camera for leaks but just noticed a few pinholes at the bellows.

Aside from that, I don't see any major leaks.

  3. Just got my colored contact print from the lab and noticed there were like bluish blobs and streaks coming from the lower edge extending to the middle part of the print. I had 4 shots taken of the same subject and the pattern is identical for all shot. Some were more noticable than the others because they were a bit overexposed. I never had this problem before with my black and white negatives, there were no light leaks present. Just wanted to find out if this could be a processing error by the lab. Can a leak cause a bluish blob? Thanks in advance

  4. Thanks for all the help you guys provided me with regard to film agitation. With regard to developing 4x5 sheet film in a tube processor like JOBO or Unicolor, how do you load the film inside the tube? Do you need special sheet holders before placing it inside the tube? Or is it just like developing prints where you just place the paper inside the tube without any special attachments? Thanks in advance

  5. I'm new to 4x5 film processing.I'm considering getting those light tight tank processors so that I don't have to process film in the dark. I'm just wondering how you would agitate the film. Do you need to invert the tank or you can just agitate it with a rocking motion. One of the tanks I saw enable you to invert the whole tank without leakage but is considerably more expensive than the other tanks which do not allow this feature. I normally use Tri X films.
  6. I want to get into LF photography and am having a difficulty in deciding which camera to get. I was offered a used Omega 4x5D View camera for 300 dollars. I know the bellows are not interchangeable and in the future I would like to use a 300mm lens with the camera. On the other hand, I'm also considering a CAlumet 4x5N but I like the adjustments of the Omega better and the Omega costs much cheaper.Hope someone can help me.
