  1. The most pervasive difficulty in Landscape Photography has to be developing a strong thematic focus that guides or even forces the eye to a feature of compelling interest. In this image, I believe you have achieved that. Technically there are things which in my opinion would enhance the image further. Manipulating several of the areas in the foreground to give them just a little more presence so that they do not entirely disappear would be one. By so doing the eye would be guided more gently to the ducks in the background and balance out the image a little better without diluting interest. Also, because the ducks are quite small increasing their contrast so they standout a little more would be another possibility. The composition of the image is very good. I see from this image a strong dedication to the pursuit of beauty in nature. This is indicative of intelligent sensitivity and talent and I wish you continued success in what is a wonderful quest.

Bill: You have a perfectly framed and balanced composition IMO. 8X10 does give you the luxury of looking for images within images but in this frame all is as it should be. The image would gain a little from a richer tonal range which is rather tame here. Perhaps exploring curve adjustments during the scan might give the image a little more brilliance by pumping up the highlights.
