Take a look at the Mountainsmith website. They have some nice, comfortable, and small camera packs. I've found Lowepro packs bulky and heavy.

Paolo,
You are a real cheapskate if you think paying a mere $15 for this resource is unreasonable.

I just tried my 90mm SA on my Ebony SV45U2. When focused at infinity, I can get a good deal of swing on the front standard (1/2" either way). Of course, you could get more if focused closer, with the lens extended more.
I then tried a 90mm Angulon which is mounted in a recessed lensboard. I could get considerable more swing. I think a recessed lensboard would help if you want to avoid the procedure outlined to lean the front standard backwards (which I find inconvenient and awkward). A bag bellows would not help, as the issue is not compression of the bellows, but the mechanics of the camera.
Good luck with the camera; it's a great one.

They are about 90% useless anyway; I wouldn't worry about it.

If you get the Canham compendium, you can use it on the Canham. If you get a Lee, you can use it on any camera.

7,347 in the world, but only 2,425 actually make pictures. The rest wonder about statistics.

Cold at night; beautiful during the day. I like the area above the tunnel. Go in the canyon right after the tunnel/bridge and walk up stream (down stream will lead you to a very big fall!!!). Further up the red rock with the small evergreens late in the day. You might also go to Snow Canyon State Park, near St. George. Zion Canyon gets light late in the day, so you can sleep late, or find somewhere else to photo. You might go out to Grafton, but I think they have tightened things up and it's hard to photo there now, but watch "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" before you go and enjoy remembering the locale. There's a restaurant I like in Springdale: the Switchback. I also like Flanigans and place with two names: Rock and Sand or something like that. A great place. Enjoy. I've stayed at Flanigans and at the Zion loge. Both are OK. I stayed at another place years ago where the shower in the room next door bubbled up in the sink in my room. I would not go there again!!!

A friend got one of these and has been happy with it:

Anybody that does is backwards is clearly WRONG!

Take a look at the "jinfinance" listings on Ebay for the Linhof top hat. You can use all of the rings included. It will not give you more "movements," but you will be able to focus closer.

I use the 300 Nikkor with a top hat board that I bought from ebay seller "jinfinance." His products are excellent and reasonably priced.

Don't screw around with antique cameras. I'd suggest you get a Chamonix. You will never need another 4x5 camera.

-

Not worth it.

I think you have the wrong Jobo tank. The 3006 only holds six 4x5 or 5x7. The 3005 will hold five 5x7 or 8x10. You're asking for trouble if you tried to get more films in the tank than they are designed for.

A friend bought a Hong Kong bellows for his Technica last year and has been very happy with it. A lot less expensive than a genuine Linhof also.

I just bought a 150/265 convertible and have the same problem: I cannot remove the front element. Can anyone enlighten me about removing the front element?

I think Ron Wisner will still make things for you. Try emailing him, but don't expect a quick response. Ritter would be a good option, too.

-

Maybe you should post a specific question about this combination. I have experience with a Wisner 4x5 to 4x10 format change that might be relevant. I also have a friend that has a Shen Hao 4x10 to 5x7 conversion.

I would look at the Chamonix cameras. They are beautiful and of similar construction to the Phillips. You will not be disappointed.

Have you tried the knob with the crank handle folded out?

Try calling Calumet.

You didn't answer Bob's questions. It depends on which specific lens you are going to buy, e.g., exactly which shutter it's in. If you don't know that, any lensboard will do.

I cut down the 8x10 polypro sleeves and paper envelopes from Light Impressions and use LI 'flip top boxes.'
