The Leicavit MP yes like all the Leica MP, M2 and M1, but not the motor drive without substantial modification.

The extension shoe was made to lift the finders for 20cm (200mm) and 40cm (400mm) when
the TXBOO/14024 extension tube was used with an M5.
The TXBOO/14024 extension tube, 62,5mm long, with accessory shoe, was designed to
replace the Visoflex I when using Telyt lenses directly on M cameras with these frame finders

Without.
I sold the other one.
Also because I prefer the tab than the focusing ring.

Keith,
For the moment, what you can do is make all the frames disappear with some tape on the
middle window and use the full viewfinder.

The aperture is not transmitted to the M8, AFAIK.

#2.
That was my choice anyway.

Peter,
What is strange is that the M8 0,68 finder only covers the 32mm field (24mmX1,33) and the
M6 0,72 covers the 28mm field.
It seams that the M8 frames are more precise than the film Ms and finders.

Peter,
I repeat:
It will be as correct as an old 28mm finder.
-
Put some tape on the frames' window (center window) to make all of them disappear and use
all the finder for the 21mm.
It will be as correct as an old 28mm finder.

The 28/2 on an M8 and a 35/2 on a M7 are covering (more or less) the same field if used at
the same distance.
Can you calculate both DOF ?

I had to edit 8500 pics to keep 800 (2 CD of 400), and I was glad I had Aperture to help me.

According to Leica, the internal softwares are not fine tuned the same.

Rob,
He had a fight with Hove Books about unpayed royalties.
-
I hope that the full viewfinder will cover the 21mm (x 1,33 = 28mm).
-
Yes, it is a full frame lens.

The 135/2,8 is the only Leica M 135mm which can be converted with 6-bit coding.

What I don't like so much is that new trend from Leica for chrome lenses.
Silver anodized aluminum alloy barrel and ring instead of chrome on brass.
The last three chrome lenses issued by Leica are like that: the 28/2,8 Asph, 28/2 Asph and this 35/1,4 Asph.
