Such a broad question, can you be a little more specific of what type
of photos you will take at night (action sports, portraits, with or
with out flash?).
-
Hi, great that you chose CANON! I just wanted to note that the Canon
70-300mm lens, at the 300mm end the lens isn't that great or sharp,
nor are any "consumer" brand lenses are, so if you notice that your
pictures aren't that sharp it may not really be your problem. Once
again its great that your comfortable with Canon.
-
Yes all EOS lenses work with all EOS cameras.
-
If you don't need eye controlled focus, i suggest the Regular Elan 7
and save yourself a few dollars. I use the regular Elan 7 for sports
photography.
-
What do you plan to use your camera for? This would help us better
to determine what camera you should upgrade to.
-
Its the Lens not the camera that makes the picture look nice. Though
I would caution using a big lens like the 70-200 f2.8 lens on a Rebel
G since the Rebel has a plasic lens mount. Not to say the lens won't
work just make sure the lens is holding the camera not the other way
around.
-
The Elan 7 (eos 300). Is a great camera and offers more features
than the Eos10s (well the eos7 being 10 years latter).
-
Easy answer you say you want as much manual control:
The Rebel 2000 allows manual ISO/ASA override, the N65 does not.
-
Depends what sports you are covering. I prefer the 70-200L
personally.
-
tthe 75-300 has an aperature of f5.6, this is sufficient for daytime
games but for night games the f5.6 is too slow.
Depending on how much $$$ you have to work with, I strongly recommend
the canon 70-200mm F2.8 L lens (800-1000$ US) I believe.
-
What settings/film/lens are you using this could be the problem?
-
Yes the D2000 is an OLDER camera, it is also known as the Kodak DCS
520.
-
EOS1n=5point AF vs EOS3 45 point area AF

EOS3=3 years? newer than the EOS1n

EOS3=Faster FPS

Basically you get faster autofocus, and compatability with the newer
canon speedlites.
-
No, USM does not play a role in optical performance. It plays a role
in focus speed and noise. The 75-300/4-5.6 II and 75-300/4-5.6 II
usm are the exact lenses, except one has a USM motor.
-
Answer: Both lenses are EXCELLENT and top of the line performers in
my opinion.
-
Any Canon EF mount lens will work with you camera.
-
Yep its the same camera, just different names for different markets.
(Rebel 2000 is the name given to the North American Version) there is
no differece besides the name.
-
They are the same camera with different names for different markets.
(Rebel G is north america) (EOS 3000 is europe). same camera
different name.
-
The Rebel 2000 is a tad lighter (im not sure how lightyou can get)
the 2000 is about 4 years newer than the Rebel G (1996?) the 2000
also offers 7 AF points compared the G's 3 points (this means faster
Auto focus speeds), also the rebel 2000's external battery pack has a
vertical shutter release button (thats if you really need it).

I'm sure theres more to point out (if anyone else can help)
Hope this helps.

Ps. I've used both and there isn't really much difference. I now use
an Elan 7 and have my rebel as a back-up (ie. meaning its gathing
dust in my camera bag. =)
-
I agree i used the Elan 7 in indoors basketball and outdoors night HS
football without a flash the Elan 7 focuses well w/o the assist
light. I mean it must be a very dark situation where the light will
go off, i mean after that and the flash actually going off it
shouldn't be much but an annoyance.
-
-
Its normal, battery drain isn't much with that, most of the battery
drain is flash use and how many times you fire the shutter.
-
Thats correct, its the lenses not the body that Really count toward
overall image appearance at the end.
-
Not sure what you exactly mean by "is it worth the price upgrade".
Also what do you plan to use the camera for.
D60, anyone?
