    Personally, I think the cropped version feels a little claustrophobic. The original versions steps down in the left and the dark silouette - that might be a cloaked woman looking out over the sea, or just a rock - adds a bit of space to the image that is needed. Not to mention the sea itself...

    It's nice, although like you say it's a shame about the reflection. I'm thinking perhaps you could have got closer, maybe even inside, and got some shots of that architecture that excludes the boring sky. The tree helps the composition, but the triangle of ground on the right ruins it a little... Perhaps hard to get it right without standing in the water. :)
