I just returned my Contax T3 (Black).
<p>
The pictures are sharp! The many features are great. This is a good
looking camera.
<p>
Why return?
<p>
The camera is too small, and the lens at 35mm is too small...for me.
<p>
I missed many picture opportunities because I had to fiddle with the
buttons.
<p>
I needed simple. I think the minilux with all it's faults might be
the better bet.
<p>
Or better yet, a Rollie AFM 35 (Fuji Klasse in Japan) is on top of my
list concerning simplicity.
<p>
The Contax T3 is wonderful, don't get me wrong.
When I was shooting with the T3 I was always conscious about the
fragile titanium body. Let's face it, it scratches easily and dents
just as fast. Just like steel.
<p>
Don't think I'm telling the truth...Look at Ebay once in a while and
you will see cosmetic damaged Titanium cameras now and then.
<p>
Now the Minilux is also of the same metal, but I don't feel like I
have to baby it now that you can get one for about $599 and under.
<p>
Rollie AFM as of this writing is also running at $599.
<p>
Take care everyone!

Whats a point and shoot anyway?
<p>
Face it, to point and shoot you want the ease and simplicity of
taking pictures!
<p>
You need a good flash and lens, coupled with good metering and focus
and there you have it!
<p>
Most of all you don't want to baby your camera and keep worrying
about scratches and dings! Point and shooters should have fun!
<p>
Rollie AFM35 - bracketing, stronger flash, better lens.
<p>
Live your dreams.

I was comparing the Contax T3 and The Rollei AFM35.(Klasse in Japan)
I like the idea of a three shot bracketing that the Rollie AFM35
is capable of doing.
Let's face it, both lenses are great!
Pop Photo in there March 2002 issue give the Rollie AFM lens a better
rating in resolution over the Contax T3.
I like the 38mm lens of the Rollei AFM35 over the 35mm of the Contax
T3.
The truth is, the Contax T3 is a well built machine.
The Rollei is a magnesium aluminum that covers a plastic interior,
although there are metal rollers, plate, and rails in the Rollei.
Im not too keen on small size cameras.
I enjoy exposure lock. The T3 has this feature and to my knowledge
the Rollie AFM35 does not have it.
Im at a cross road. What do you think?
Any comments on the Rollei AFM35
