If this was a spontaneous 'grab' shot, it was well spotted and executed - and with the coolest Leica LTM camera they ever made rather than some plastic modern digicam.

It's in good 'ol England! I was up there a week ago and clicked on this because I thought I knew where it was. Lovely photograph, and for my part I like the square crop - Rollei TLR users take heart!

Thanks for your comments; the photo was taken without flash at f2.8, handheld; I focussed on the barbed wire nearest to the flame, and the DOF is very small indeed.

I only clicked on it because it was instantly recognisable as a Lake District scene - so I think your photo has succeeded. Pity the light is so flat, but at least it's not raining. You capture the undulations and twists and turns of the road well.
