I used to live about 200 metres away from this basilica (San Lorenzo) for a number of years. It was always a fascinating jumble of different shapes.

Where is this please? Looks very much like Harris.
Well done anyway.

Did he stick is head out of a moving car to achieve that rather unique hairstyle? Certainly this cheered up my afternoon.

Exposure is well controlled and DOF is nice and deep. My only slight criticism is that to me it looks stronger if you chop off quite a bit of the sky. Not so much because it is featureless but more to keep the proportion of green to orange to blue a bit more even which I feel is what the picture needs.
Nevertheless I wish I had taken this :-)

But as a horn player this mouse's embouchure and right hand placement on the rim of the bell is all wrong! :-)

This shot is pure unadulterated Galen Rowell. Well done.

Nice shot and very well executed. I just wish the Tower Thistle Hotel could be reduced to rubble though!

Beautiful range of tones and it works well as a panoramaic crop. To be pedantic though this is Jokulsarlon and not Vatnajokull - not that that detracts from a good photo of course.
All the best,
James

I don't think this image could be improved on either...framing and DOF is just fine. Well done.

A composition that I have never seen before for Dead Vlei - perhaps you thought you were unlucky that it was foggy but at least we have something different to see from the usual red dunes - beautiful though they are.

Check out http://www.michaelkenna.net/ for similar a style of photography.

Very very well done

There's nothing wrong with this!

It does seem very slightly soft which is a pity but my monitor at work is rubbish though so it might be fine elsewhere. Underwater photography is tough though from personal experience.

Quite what you promised her as a present for doing this I can't imagine. Vuitton handbag maybe?
