I use the 50mm 1.4 on full frame and crop, and the results are equally good. On the Rebel Series it becomes approximately an 80mm lens. The enclosed pic is on a full frame. The 50 1.4 wide open will blur out background slightly more than the 50 1.8, and obviously has a little more light gathering ability at 1.4.</p><div>
