Thanks, should have added my regular tripod is a carbon Gitzo with Arca Swiss head. I doubt I would be able to carry this on the plane and don't want to check it.
Hence the cheap, compact option I'm looking at.
Yes, I have a Rolleifix.

I am flying out to CA this weekend, going to Yosemite. I want to bring my Rolleiflex T and a light tripod. I was considering the Tiltall Traveler, TE-245 from Adorama. http://www.adorama.com/TPTLG.html
I was wondering if you folks here think this would be suitable or maybe could recommend something better but for about the same price.
Thanks for your help.

OK, maybe I need to rephrase my original question.
I thought I recall reading about other people having this problem with this lens. I was wondering if anyone can confirm this and how it may have been addressed by Canon.
I searched on here and Google but couldn't come up with anything.
I has nothing to do with lens caps, improper cleaning (it's on the inside of the element) or improper storage.

"I want to send it in to Canon, but am concerned they are going to try and charge me"
"My car broke down, but I am hesitant to send it to the garage as I am concerned they and going to try charge me...... Nothing is for nothing in this world, I suggest sending it in and getting it seen to!"
-------
Thanks for your useless response! If I caused the damage, I would be fine with having to pay for repair.
I was trying to see if anyone has had or heard of this problem and experience with getting it fixed.
-
I have had this lens for a few years, got it about when it was released. A
while ago I noticed a haze on the front element.
I thought I remember reading about this being a problem with this lens, but
couldn't find anything. I want to send it in to Canon, but am concerned they
are going to try and charge me.
Has anyone else had this problem or information on this?
Thanks

I carry a RZ with back attached, an extra back and a 90mm, and a 50mm.
They fit fine, and the bag is comfortable.

Yes you can, it is good because you can have one lens that can do two tasks. I use my 100mm macro lens all the time for regular shooting.

Thanks to everyone for the input, it has been very helpful!! I am going to order the 1v today. Thanks again, Steve

Does the 550EX work wireless with the 1V like it does with the 3?
-
Good point Henry, the "what if's" can get you after the fact.
-
I wonder how much the 3% difference in viewfinder coverage is noticable?
-
I've only handled the 3 before. My biggest draw to the 1v is the 100% viewfinder coverage.
-
I am giong to but a new body and don't know if I should get the eos3
or the 1v? Your suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

I was wondering if keeping the lens hood in low light situations can have any effect on a meter reading?

Getting the 285 is a great idea. I use one with my Rolleiflex and it works great. Its vari sensor works well and gives good exposures every time. It can eat up batteries though, consider one of Quantums battery packs if you will be using flash a lot.

I've heard that the leather is not good for the glass.
I think it has to do with the chemicals that are used in tanning the leather. It can affect the coating.

Hi,
I am trying to find a way to store my bay1 filters. Since the leather
isn't a good way to keep them. Anyone's info would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

The vivitar 285 is a great flash. And, stroboframes 120 quickflip bracket makes a good combo.

I had Marflex CLA my Rollei T and they did a great job. I am pretty sure it ran me $212.00.

Does anyone know if the 6.5x9 film can still be bought?
Thanks,
Steve

If this is true maybe if enough people let fuji know how much they enjoy the film they will do something. Thats just my thought.

Can anyone tell me if the accessories for the RZ pro are
interchangable with the pro II. And what are the differences between
them. Thanks for the help.

I am trying to choose a flash bracket to use with my Rollei and a
Vivitar 285 flash. Can anyone recommend a good bracket. Stroboframe
brackets seem to be pretty good, will one of these work. Thanks for
your help.

I have a Rolleiflex T and am looking to get a prism finder for it. I
was wondering if any of the rolleiflex prisms will fit this
particular camera. Also, what is the going rate for something like
this? Thanks to anyone who can help.
