After freezing my posterior off trying to get this vase to stand up

in the snow, I finally gave up and put them back in my living room.

Later that day, the afternoon sun came through the window for a few

minutes, giving the petals a glow -- this is my attempt to capture

that moment. Comments and suggestions welcome.

I've played around with subject blur a little myself, mostly on trains, and haven't had much luck making it look work with the composition. This composition works nicely. You might want to play around with panning on a fixed point on the train, like an axle, to see what that looks like.

Very creative shot, but there's something awkward about the top of the boat being cut off by the pier.

Dramatic. Nice exposure.
