My first attempt at selective coloring. Original image was
desaturated since I felt that colors are hurting rather than helping
it. I finally decided to keep colors on small buckets the kids are
carrying to bring out the essence of childhood - toys and games.
I'd appreciate your comments and opinions on this image.

Excellent. Your entire folder is interesting and a great inspiration to remind me that after not getting usable photos I gave up boats all too soon.
It's a kind of pity that there was no way of avoiding the window in the upper left corner. That would make the photo even more clean without loosing association with boats. Another, but minor remark is that there is no hint of the texture on the black rope.
Nevertheless a very good photograph.

I wanted something colorfull and happy to remind me of summer during
dull and dark November/December days. In this shot I was really
after colors, as strong as possible.

The second scan is indeed more balanced. The feet help. It's probably because of what Marc already said, there is a plenty of wall above the heads and boys are in motion.
To Kohda: you got it the other way around - 92% viewfinder coverage really means that you only see 92% of the film frame surface. I have a camera with 92% coverage, and I keep getting unexpected things at the edges of frame that I did not see through the viewfinder when taking the shot.

I don't think I can agree with the suggestion that the photographer is to be responsible for all possible interpretations of all people who see the photograph. Or that a photographer should care about possible interpretations when taking the picture. Expecially for the photographs that stand on their own, not in support of any story, idea, etc. When pushed to extremes, such logic is very dangerous for both the photographer and observer. In a role of photographer it restricts me into taking benign photographs that are not open to various interpretations. But, in a role of observer, it also takes away my responsibility for my intepretations of what I observe.
A good example of latter was the previous POW - suggestions have been made that the girl was on drugs. I do not belive that the photographer is to blame (which, if I recall correctly, was implied) for taking the picture in a way that could permit, or even suggest, such intepretation. As an observer, it is me who is responsible for making such interpretation and selling it as a truth. It was not a deception, it did not support an article "Youth on Drugs" or something like that, it was just a capture of a moment and as such, open to intepretations.
But back to the picture; while not my favorite, it is an excellent picture from an outstanding folder. I admire it when it was first posted and I still return to it from time to time.

Good idea, but poor execution. For one thing, shallow DOF really doesn't work well.

Great combination of figure and a shadow

Clever attempt in getting different angle on something that's been photographed many times. But somehow it does not seem to work - to me it looks as of there were two main subjects on this photograph fighting for the attention: the bridge itself, and the couple on the right. Either way the silhuettes are wrong; they either should not be there or should be made stronger in relation to the bridge.

I like the idea of this picture. Exposure looks fine to show the play of light and to retain details on the highlighted snow. But I agree that the front trees really shoud be in focus.

Although at the height of the summer season this side alley in the
old town of Dubrovnik was free of turist crowds. Quite a refreshment
after "fighting" for the dinner table. It appealed to me as it bears
signs that despite tons of turists people living here still do their
day-to-day errands.
