Hello, I'm just start selling some pictures, and in 2 months I'm doing my first exposition in Spain, all destined

to fund the NGO The Forgotten World, Whom I'm the president. I would like some advice about the quality of the

portfolio, the gallery is interesting in just use my photos but we can include any photographer work, could

someone expert in photography ( I'm just a big amateur ) to speak about my portfolio honestly, everyone critiques

always are good, but from good things we don't learn, only the errors makes improve, please this is important as

we are gonna use the 100% profit for humanitarian purposes, to fund our first project and to donate safe water to

the children in Cambodia, where I live.

hello, I just started to move my pictures and I find that my main subject kids

is gonna be impossible to sell. Those pictures are from places where those kids

are orphans or parents don't know to write or even don't know what is a model

release, is the law and I respected but those pictures are there to show the

situation of one part of the world that doesn't know about photography laws and

even they will be very happy to be on the pictures.

 

My folder kids, in case that I get any money for any of the pictures, will be

automatically deposit in our NGO account, so even I don't profit from those

pictures.

 

There is anything that I can't do, I hear that maybe I can show the pictures as

editorial or news.

 

I'm lost about that, can you help me, thanks

hello, I'm looking for someone to help me, I want to start to take photography

seriously, I will move to live in Cambodia in a year, and I would like to try

to improve my photography in order to shot there. I know few of you here are

really professional, and my pictures are not that good, but I will say they are

a good start. I would like advice to become little by little in a freelance

photographer, courses, or any help. Many thanks to all.

jeff many thanks, my photos are from long time ago, i know that is another theme but why anonymous count and registered not, that is rubbish, when anonymous always rate 3/3 anything that is not a nude, i don't take pics of nudes, but please i have some pics where registered rate them as 6/6 average and anonymous 3.5/4, please this seems a joke for all of us

David happens the same to me, we are uploading photos for critique but they don't appears in the photo critique area, so someone today gonna have all comments for all the photos, the same photos are there for more than 3 hours,

hello, i just wondering why never my pics are coming in the top photos pages,

i have from yesterday a pic 5.00 5.15 and never i can see any of mine between

the most of 400 top photos of the day when i find pics of 3.40.3.50, can

someone explain if maybe because are mine i can not see them ,maybe u can not

see ur own pics in this list, thanks

I'm impressed with the pictures, and I have to agree with you, few months ago I posted a photo from a child in Cambodia viticm of an american landmine, the child has no arms and he told to please take him a picture and to please listen his history to tell to the people back in Europe, the only comments there were against the sentence ''american landmine'' when the only thing that i did was to repite his words, some people want to forget that there are wars in the world and that innocent people died to make fortunes for others, everyone knows that vietnam war was a mistake, I was in Vietnam for a month and I got close to people that have been in hamburger hill fighting, and in cuchi and in my opinion that people need that the world tell their history and u are doing very well, if u want to see the pic is in my folder feelings of war, please keep going on with this is fantastic, thanks

i do agree that anonymous raters are useless, and as well we need to think that it takes a while to know how PN works, but it seems than moderators dont follow the forums, ages since we ask to change that but nothing happens, I prefer comments than rates but I'm the first one that when is bored go to PN to rate photo, and at the beggining I didn't realise what I did, I rated lot of shots with 1 and 2, and now i feel bad about that, just the person that take a picture for me deserve at least 4, so now I only rate shots that are more than 5 for me, but please keep anonymous people out of here, I'm sorry they are rubbish

well after all that I read, I do apologise, maybe I'm the person that you are speaking about, i post 4 pictures everyday, and sorry, I didn't realise about this prolem where you are right, but I'm just an amateur looking for opinions and specially sugestions that will help me to improve, for that reason I do, not because I want to take the critique forum for me, It takes a little to know how PN works, and even If I'm member since 2002, it's now when I took photograpy as my biggest passion, please accept my apologise, but I think that PN should keep the pictures to critique at least for 3 days and more pages or even critiques depending the theme of the picture, I'm a person that try to always give comments, but as I said I feel that I'm not very good, so my advices can be ridiculous.

hello, you?re not alone, this people just give rates without any sense, and this rates for people like us that we love photogrphy should not count on the total. hackers of pictures.
