My wife took this shot through the window of the moving shuttle van,

while on a trip to Rome. She was attracted by the circular shapes made

by the bridge and reflections in the water.

Perhaps if you keep your right hand down at the bottom of the wheel, to do the REAL steering and your left hand at the close edge of the wheel for show, and keep it as still as possible, you might be able to pull this off. It still looks like some ones ued a pack of neon magic markers on the back ground. Very cool.

 

I disagree about the tree on the left being a distraction. Without the tree, where is the boy going ? To an empty bottom left corner ? To the mail box ? With the tree hanging from the right and the tree on the left, he seems to be going into the trees. Is he going into the woods ? The lantern would seem out of place, if he was just walking away from the house. However ... add the trees and a destination becomes important. ? If nothing else the trees balance out the weight of the house. Leave the tree.

 

By the way, I like the shot.

A very unique image. A fun one to look at. But...it looks like two shots. A sunrise ( or sunset ) with the twisted landscape with more direct lighting. THe sun just seems too low on the horizon to light the forground that way. It's a cool shot non the less.

I think "through the keyhole" would be a more fitting title !

I really like the way the thin trail of snow leads to the gap between the trees. The lighting looks cool too. The only thing that detracts from it is the dark line from the right hand tree that drops down and continues off to the right. Is that a line of trees or a wall ?

What IS his new camera ?

 

I really like the lighting. Was it all natural or did you bring in some lights. I'd really like to know more. The deep shadows and bright subject work great.

Does she ever get that bow stuck in here hair ?
