I've been trying to figure out what to do for a job before I retire, soon I hope. In the mean time I try to make photos and other means of demented imagery.

I recently got a View Sonic VP2030 for under 500$. It calibrates very well and also has a pivot function.I like it a lot, good color and a joy to use.It is standard aspect ratio which I like. If you prefer a wide view this is not the one.If it fits your needs its quite nice for the money.
Enjoy your new tool.

Jim...I have a Contax G1,they are a great travel camera. The glass is amoung the best you can get.I have a 35mm and 90mm. I would make sure your friend puts some film through the camera first. It takes some geting use to,as it is not like any other camera.( At least for me,I'm use to all manual gear.)Focus and other settings are pretty basic but the overall feel took me some time to feel right about. The weight and comfort is great and the results are wonderfull!!!! Your friend should be very happy. They are a little quirky till you get use to them. Don't forget extra batteries. Good luck , T.M.

Greg, I did cleaning so many times I used up almost 1/2 ink carts. The prints look perfect with no missing colors or banding, the fine lines appear to be laid down on top of the print. Also of intrest text seems to print out fine. Strange?. I showed some prints to a local Epson rep. He had never seen this effect and did'nt think it could be caused by cloging. Thanks for your help,I miss my printer.

Jon thank you for the response... In portrait mode the lines are left to right or horizontal. In landscape mode they are top to bottom, or virtacal. Also the color lines show up in printing in only black ink mode. Thank you T.M.

My epson 1270 is printing very thin lines(cyan or magenta)on my prints, extending into the boarders. These lines are very fine and finley spaced.Sometimes covering the entire print, sometimes only part. No it is not banding or cloging.Drivers have been reinstaled,no help. If anyone has had this problem and found a solution or cause please help,!!or is this printer toast.Thank you in advance. T.M.
