    Hi Stephen, It's nice to see other people are taking pictures in Mendon Ponds Park too. The tilted horizons in these pics at the south end of Deep Pond bother me somewhat. IMHO I think a level horizon would help the pictures alot. Tilting the camera down some to include less sky would allow you to keep more detail in the pond and surrounding landscape.   1. This one has drawn quite a few viewers (relative to my other photos)

    and even some ratings, but no comments about what people do or don't

    like. I'm not crazy about the pinkish tint but that's what it looked

    like in real life. I tried playing with it to remove it but nothing

    looked "right" to me.

     

    How about the cropping? When I looked at cropping a little tighter on

    the right, I lost the feeling that the mist was rising away from the

    pond. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm hoping to

    improve my composition and techniques. Thanks!
