Back filing IPTC info in NX can be a real hassle, is there an autofill feature

for the fields, other than keywords, and if so how do you turn on that feature?

Also, how do you delete entries (misspellings etc) in the dropdown keywords

list?

I've looked at the online guide and Jason Odell's Ebook but no info is

available, am I missing something?

I am copying then applying settings in tools but that is really not what I am

looking for.

various combinations of Windows based photo editors and photo managers. I have

been shooting JPEGs to shorten the learning curve and now want to step up to

shooting and processing in RAW.

Currently I use the most recent release from ACD See for photo management and

basic editing, but realize I should be using a dedicated photo editor. My photo

style is fairly straight forward and I am most interested in touch ups, not

heavy photo manipulation.

As a Nikon user I am leaning toward Nikon Capture NX but would like your

opinions on the other editors as they work with ACD See.

After renting this lens to shot soccer matches I am now seriously considering

purchasing one. However, I cannot find any information on the practicle use of

the focus "limit slidder". Can anyone who is familiar with this please

enlighten me.

Please help to clarify a nagging question. Does a telephoto lens provide the

same compression effect when used on both digi and film based cameras? In other

words, only the angle of view is changed, not the magnification effect.

My brother just gave me his 50mm 1.8f Nikkor S 1103xxx and I would like to

convert it for use on my D200 as a portrait lens. Before doing so I would like

the thoughts of those who have done the same as far as:

Who would you recommend perform the conversion (NYC area is preferable)

What was your user experience post conversion?

How much should I expect to pay for the conversion?

I am a recent convert from Leica M to Nikon D200. Image capture is not a

problem but once that image is transferred to the PC my head starts to spin.

Despite reading this forum, and a multitude of others seeking guidance and

insight, I realize I am confused and know nothing about proper digital

photography post production. Can anyone suggest an �ABC guide to digital

workflow� resource?

No knowing what I don't know can anyone recommend a brand/type of compact

flashcard reader. From what I gather one should transfer via a reader than my

D200. Is there real merit to that?

I have read the D200 manual and am still unclear as to the real world

difference between the two color space options. Up to now I have been climbing

the digital learning curve by shooting JPEG in sRGB but will now venture into

RAW, which I assume means resetting color space to ADOBE RGB. What are the

practical differences and where can I find more info on the proper use of the

color space option?

If I'm in a situation where I need to use a CF card from my coolpix that

already has images on it can I slid it into the D200 without reformatting and

thus losing those images? THanks

It is my understanding that this lens was initially designed for film cameras.

I am curious as to how one uses its aperture ring when mounted on a D200. Other

than in program mode, do you control the aperture as you would with a film

camera? And what is the lens approximate 35mm equivalent, 120mm-300mm?

I've read many reviews of this lens and it seems to be a good one.What has been

your experiance with this lens mounted on the D200 as it relates to AF speed,

sharpness and battery drain? I'm currently debating whether to buy the 80-200

or the newer 18-200. I expect to use the lens for soccer and other fast paced

I just recieved up my new 12-24 lens and an concerned that the manual focus

ring does not stop as expected at either end of the focus range, is this

normal? sure feels wierd. Thanks
