  1. Hi y'all-

I've did a search on this and read most of the threads but could not

    find the answer to this.

I have a MF camera (6x6) and just recently purchased a Stroboframe

QuickFlip bracket for use in conjunction with a Sunpak flash( the

flash covers 35mm setting in the 135 format). The only lens i have

is the 80mm which is about 50mm in the 135 format. Before i test

this setup myself i wanted to ask the group if there's

some "rules"/experiences regarding the flash coverage.

I am a bit concerned that the flash will not cover the 6X6 negative

area with the 80mm on a bracket. should the flash be angled down a

bit to illuminate the whole area? or is this okay since the flash

covers 35mm in 135 format and the lens is a 80mm lens (approx. 50mm

in 135 format). the flash when mounted on the bracket is about 10-14

    inches about the lens.

thank you for your answer before i test this out personally.

  2. I have used the Metz 34-AF.

It's very nice and compact. Pretty powerful too.

Though I had some questions regrading the Wide adaptor-

    I've had mixed info- if it's a 24 or a 28mm coverage.

The 2 rolls of film I had taken with the Metz I used without the Wide

or the Tele adaptors and with a 28-85 lens. The flash pictures showed

good exposure though a very slight vignetting at the tele end of the

    lens without the tele adaptor.

I'd recommend this flash if you are looking for a small compact unit.

    Very capable!

  3. Hello.

    <p>

For what it's worth, about $300 i think it's a great value. Plus, the photodo site gave it a pretty good rating. i am just wondering if anyone have any first hand experience with this lens? I am thinking of purchasing this to supplement my prime Nikkors lenses and the 80-200 f2.8 AFD Nikkor when i don't want to carry loads of lenses around or don't have time to change the lenses.

  4. Hello all:

I am inquiring of any first hand experiences with these 2 cameras. I am looking for a cheap non-battery dependent camera for backup. FM2N is out of the question. The FM-10/ FE-10 seem like a good light weight mechanical body. I know it's OEMed by Cosina. But for about $200 you get a lens and case with it and I can mount my Nikkors on it. Just wondering what your opinions are.

  5. hello. i've pondered the same question. i have a N70 and "tested"

the AF speed using my friend's N90x. i couldn't really tell the

difference. in fact, it seemed to me that the N70 might be a little

    faster. i tried with my nikkor 24, 50, 85, and 80-200 AF-D lenses

under various light situations and targets. my bias is to get the N70

new, spend the money saved for lenses and flash. when you make your $

then get an upgrade in the future and relegate the N70 as a light

    travel/backup camera.

  6. Hello.

I read the archives on cheap TLR as an entry into MF. From the archive, Lubitel was mentioned. I am interested in buying a cheap (<$150) MF camera to try. A local store sells a new TLR called Seagull for about $135. My question is has anyone used this TLR before? What are some other suggestions for getting into the MF photography? Thank you
