1.
The BBB doesn't cover many areas and have little impact on a wedding photographer's credibility.
A letter from a lawyer is the best bet as small claims court would be limited in what they can award in damages.
I would assume the pictures are a lost cause, with a faint chance that it's simply photographer laziness. That being said, this is the wrong venue for advice, legal matters are best asked of lawyers.

 2.
I don't worry about the days details until about a week before the wedding other than the venue locations.
The important thing is the date on the contract, you do have a contract? I'm more flexible on the venue, but I expect to know it several months in advance as otherwise they may not have a wedding because they've not booked a location. The rest can be in flux up until just before the wedding.
So for late May I wouldn't be concerned yet but would shortly start pressing for the venue addresses by the end of the month.

 3.
I feel your pain as I process about 3000 images through lightroom each week.
I don't know the direct answer to your question, but based on switching between the two processing presets within LR4 in many images I can see a difference. I suspect that you will find that some images it won't make a noticable difference and others it will depending on what adjustments were made.
If you save processed RAW files with xmp sidecars, it should be no problem to reimport them into LR3 and create new LR3 catalogs.
Good luck, and let's hope Adobe comes up with some more tuning on LR4 fairly quickly. Each of the last two releases helped a bit, but still no where near the speed of LR3.

 4.
Like Matt, I braved the traffic to DC for photographing the Discovery flyover. In my case I picked the Lee Mansion at Arlington National Cemetery for a vantage point which resulted in some really great images. This is one with the new Nikon D4 and simply the 28-300 Nikkor.
I joke that we simply tied a bunch of ballons to a lawn chair to get the elevation up with the shuttle. Safer than the drone which needs to stay on the ground.

00aHm1-459015584.jpg.cf2d0fbe141a0707ebd44f43f01c3887.jpg

 5.
I'm a bit late to the game today. But this is an image from a recent funeral at Arlington National Cemetery taken with the 70-200mm at 145mm on the Nikon D3. Just before I got the D4.
Very sad story, of a highly respected commander killed while acting as a civilian good samaritan.
Always amazing stories at Arlington spanning well over 100 years.

00aGAa-457283784.jpg.8b4146f923060b6bcd6d6a7a7498d1a7.jpg

 6.
This is the rare swearing in ceremony and badge presentation for sentinels at the Tomb of the Unknowns.
On Friday three new soldiers from the Old Guard joined this select group that guard the Tomb at Arlington National Cemetery.
There are only about 600 soldiers who've ever earned the honor of guarding the tomb.
The location is called the chapel of the Unknowns and is located beneath the amphitheather. It was a great privledge to be allowed to attend the ceremony.
Lot's of great photos this week.
Oh, this was taken with then new Nikon D4 and 10.5mm lens.

00aECH-455431584.jpg.b31d8ca8e2e5cb41d87c30a8ad0345b0.jpg

 7.
You need to unfriend them and not look at what they post. Forget them and concentrate on your own work and marketing.
This is a common occurance and you just need to strive to raise the level of your work and marketing saturation. At some point they start to look like an unfinished imitation of art.
Your husband is right.

 10.
That's a hoot Matt; I received the same nutcracker this week.
This photo is from our final wedding for the season taken at the Marine Corp Museum chapel in Triangle Virginia. It's known as the Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel.

00ZlRE-426341684.jpg.f23559cb8082c1f2b830dea34035677a.jpg
