I like the caught moment of this shot. My only qualm is the background...I would rather it be a little less distracting by having a wider aperture. If it were not quite so bright and colourful I could see this being a good depth of field. It would show activity and excitement, contrasted with the subject quietly reading. As it stands tho', I find the background a bit too distracting.
None the less, it is a good shot. Commendations.

I really like the perspective of this shot...very fun! I think that it would have been neat if you could have got a circular polariser and made the water in the background a little darker so that in the centre at the top there was a bit more contrast (if that IS water in the background).
A very neat shot. I like it! Well done. I really like the repeating, and yet slightly differing top-floor windows.

A very interesting and compelling subject!
I am quite a fan of flower shots, and you have a nice one here in my opinion. I like the composition too. Well done.

I like idea of this photo - the misty lake with the other side just visible. I am not a fan of the foreground. I think that you are right to want to include a foreground, but I do not like the branches at the top. I would prefer more of a framing in the foreground. Instead I feel that the one branch that comes in from the top left is more 'in the way' than complimentary. The benefit of including a foreground in a shot like this, I think, is to create a bit of a false focus, which then makes the background (across the lake) a delightful surprise when noticed.
That being said, I really like the inclusion of the grass on the bottom of the frame, and like the tree framing the right hand side, right-side branch included.
These are just my two cents' worth. I really like the idea, and can appreciate the difficulty of on-the-fly composition while hiking.

I would prefer that this shot be a little tighter, especially eliminating some of the top. I like the perspective of the table tho. You could even be looking down on it a little more. I like it.

I would rather not have the fellow quite so perfectly centred

I really like the lighting of this shot. It is mostly cool colours except in the background there is a wonderful warmth up stream. I like the composition as well, although I might have liked it if there a bit less of the rock on the right hand side.
Very nicely captured tho'. Good show.

Great texture. A very compelling shot. Well spotted and well captured.

very cute. Well done.

Cute shot!
Shooting on overcast days certainly provides terrific lighting for shots like these, but the flip side is that the sky itself is rather dull. As such, a rule of thumb is to take pictures on overcast days but avoid getting much of the sky in them. Given the colour of the background wall, the added sky makes it a little dreary. Perhaps crop out the top right corner?

Very interesting lighting and colours.

I second most of the comments above. Terrific lighting, but I find the right hand especially distracting. Even if you could cheat in photoshop to get rid of the fingers. I think that the left hand is subtle enough.
Again, very nicely done.

I do not think that the alternate cropping worked as well...I quite like this. I like how the structure is like a tree itself, reaching up above them trees. I really neat shot!

Well-captured moment. I like it!
-
neat composition. I like it

I would have liked to see a bit more of the stairs on the left.

Beautiful colours!

I don't like the sky...would prefer a more uniform blue.

Seems rather out of focus to me. Not a huge fan of the amount of contrast between foreground and background.
-
A very neat angle, and pretty lights.

I really like the composition and the subject of this shot. Very interesting and fun to look at. I like all the lines, as well as the contrast between the black stairs and the very light background on the right hand side. More fun is added with the shadows of the stairs on the wall. Further, I really like the brick on the left hand side.
Nicely captured

Very beautifully done. I love the lighting too...just enough to show all of the details, but still subtle

This shot I prefer to the other one that I commented on in this folder. I find more interest in it. I prefer the activity this one has. I think that this shot captures a bit more about the parlour than the other one did.
