I was driving home and the sky just appeared like this for about 10

minutes or so. I pulled over and snapped some handhelds of the

colors. I know it goes against the rules to photograph just the sky

with no horizon but I thought the colors were so intense they could

act in an abstract way. Also since I wasn't in the most scenic place

(freeway)it was all telephone wires and concrete buildings. I

appreciate all comments and ratings. Thanks.

I love this folder Timo! I have a soft spot for winter scenes and you have captured some beautiful and original ones here. I love how the ice /snow in this photo has formed into an abstract sort of ski or sled rail. Very nice work!

This is a fantastic shot. I love the city lights. The sky makes this one. The sheer magnitude of those clouds rolling in like a blanket! Must have been nice to be there.

Congratulations on a suberb portfolio Jean. You have a wonderful eye and I enjoyed seeing your work. I have a fascination with winter shots and landscapes so I will say this is one of my favourites even though all of your work desrves praise. I kinda like the semi-abstract nature of this one but am wondering if

I'm alone. Is it interesting enough? Could it be composed better?

Also wondering if the exposure's too dark?

I like it. Especially that it is in the center. I agree with the earlier comment that the centering composition makes it feel like you've just come across it after hiking to a clearing in the woods. Well exposed too.
