wonderful angle... but you've chopped the shadow (which arguably would have been the most interesting part of the photo). moving the player into the top third would have balanced the photo better. where the heck were you to get such a bird's eye view?
-
this photo had a lot of potential. had it not been cropped so tight... seeing the other arm would have added extra flair. great angle however makes it the best shot in the folder.
-
i wouldn't change the color at all -- i think that's where it gets it's mood. i think i was drawn to this pic cuz the last self portrait i did had me similarly dissected. the hand in the top left is a nice touch.
-
i should have said this already but there is a reason half of this picture is out of focus: a handwritten poem was inserted into the left half of the picture. as well, the final version was cropped square.
-
i love the hard lines of the bridge against the clouds. what filter did you use?

a beautiful tree to be sure. i would like to see it shot at a time of day when the sun is lower in the sky and the sky is a deeper blue. also, if you could avoid getting the limbs of the neghboring tree it would be a stronger shot.

the light is beautiful, the moment was captured, the focus is off! if only the little boy was in focus. otherwise a great balanced shot with lots of visual interest

this is the original photo, would it be suitable for a brochure or
ad? would it be better horizontally so that the text was correct? i
really liked this image after i got it back and wished i had spent
some time experimenting with angle/perspective and waiting for people
to walk by or something...

your thoughts?

i know it is a butterfly kick because i had to do mine right after him. the comment on printing is interesting given that the image has never been printed: i scanned the neg using a film scanner

i enjoy the simplicity of this shot. i'm somewhat torn on the camel (is it?) -- on the one hand i think it offers an interesting visual distraction but on the other i think it takes away fomr the simplicity of the shot.
-
probably would have been nicer from the front but i do like the limb
separation. what do you guys think?

at first i was going to comment that i didn't like how harsh the light at the end of the tunnel was and then i saw the train coming out of it which made me like it a lot more.
looking even longer revealed the dark figure in the foreground: in his case i would have liked a little more detail as he was very hard to pick out

i think nature works best when it's abstracted -- it's the inherent geometry that makes it attractive i think.
-
it's like he's coming right out of the photo. nice separation - i think it would be hard with a white bird on white snow but your depth of field choice made it work. and great composition!

candid moment while training in china.
-
i love the composition and the lighting but i would like it better if the hair was 'clumpier' so as to reveal more of the eye and to simplify the image somewhat.
-
the photo is nice but i would like it better if one or both of the subjects were more in focus. it looks like his cross is in focus but neither of their faces are... other than that i like the composition and lighting.

one of my favourite shots from tokyo, what do you think?

2002 audi tt -- new color scheme for that year
darker silvery grey exterior, red leather interior

i liked the original because of the mood but here's a version with the levels adjusted somewhat...

the look on her face was to suggest that she was hiding between the cylinders

suitable as a fashion shot?

it's the color that grabs me. the contrast in the flower is perfect. nicely saturated as well -- did you do anything with lighting or filters to get it so vivid?
composition is good too.
any other shots in same series?
