Beautiful capture, great light and colours. I visited this monastry in 2002 when a festival was going on. Great time to visit.

The moment went by quickly so I took about 4 images, than it was over. Let
me know what you think.

Thanks so far. I didn't do anything to the saturation, though Velvia of course has a high saturation. The photo was made from the window in the farmhouse where I was sleeping. The weird orange glow came through the curtains and lit the room, I looked outside and grabbed my camera a second later.

The title is inspired by Jimi Hendrix. The sun rises behind the Nilgiri range in
Nepal.

Critiques welcome...

Although the graves at this huge war cemetery date from the first World
War, they bring strong emotions to most visitors.

I made this photo from the bridge in Chinon, France. It is not manipulated.

Hi, I like the picture, although I think the scan is not to good. Did some extensive trekking in the nepalese Himalayas last year and this brings back memories. Where was it taken?
I would have zoomed in a bit so the picture consisted of the mountain in the middle and the sun on the right and would not have included everything left from the middle of the picture onwards. In the scan this part is without detail. If you do want to include it, cut it off halfway at the rof right downside of the mountain on the right.

Very good indeed, but why not in black and white?

Nice picture, but I think it will improve be reversing it (put the trees on the left).

I am sorry but IMHO this is a very uninteresting concertphoto. Nothing happens on the picture, there is no tension. It could also be anybody holding a guitar.
I have a cd with a concert by Jimi Hendrix in 1968 in Paris. On the cover is a blur of colours and movement with a very clearly depictable (but not stil) white guitar. You see this blur and you KNOW you see Jimi.
Good luck, Frank

A very nice picture of a beautiful area. Maybe a little bit too much foregrond to my taste but what the hell.
I visited the area south of the aosta valley a couple of years ago, Gran Paradiso National Park. Took some wonderful slides then, miss the mountains here in Holland.

Gorgeous image in excellent b&w. I came to this page of pictures because of the images of your homemade camera on the LF forum. I will have a great time looking at these beautiful images.
Thanks for sharing, Frank
