i like the color contrast here a lot..it all works

to create a nice image..the shirt,skin,hair,greenish b.g.

to me, the out of focus hair is ok..

 

moms will do that.. i had a mohawk, for a while.

good shot of a well used disc, good compostion, nice subject for this time of year Monty..

I agree the contrast is very good, soft lighting makes it even better, the focus is a bit soft to me.. but im old.. i like this kind of picture.

ive counted 10 in or around our yard at the same time..its neat.. we are waiting to for the hummers.. spring: i love it.

After looking in smithsonians handbook: birds of north america: eastern region, the great blue heron is sometimes called crane or blue crane.

 

this is by local people, and i rememmber my dad calling them that. we have a few here in this area, one just down the road at a small lake.

I really like this, my eye went straight to the penguins in front, the ones in focus.. the blury object in the background is not distracting at all.. the color of the birds and the rocks together are just outstanding, what a shot under any circumstances.. photoshop is not needed.

when these shots were taken, no power for over a week, but we made it, got a lot of photos around the neighborhood. yes the fomatt is large, i can tell now..

i havent done this: upload photos to web sites all that much. i will be trying to reduce the size of my photos next time, if it dosnt reduce the quality.. (-:
