  1. hi ppl

Fill flash using the Nikkor - D lens is amazing, but i wanted to know

whether this works with lenses from other manufacturers too ? like

say SIGMA or tamron ? SIGMA states that their lenses are for the

NIKON-D mount does that mean it can perform that 3D matrix fill flash

    too? same for tamron ...

This might be elementary but i dont own any third party lenses and i

was looking to buy a SIGMA EX series thats when the "D" question came

    up.

    thanx

  2. Lenses in question

    Nikkor 24-120 F/3.5 - 5.6 <<VVRR>> AFS "G"

    SIGMA 24-135 F/2.8 - 4.5 SLD IF

i want know how does the SIGMA perform vis-a-vis NIKKOR i would have

gone for the NIKKOR if i didn't have to save up on the cost for now.

i know NIKKORs are usually the best ones and then THIS one has the VR

and the AFS too. i kno i kno ... nikkor is the way to go ! but i have

got some good reviews on the SIGMA in a photography magzine they said

it holds sharpness throughout the focal lenght and has nice

resolution. And then 24-120 from Nikkor has got some bad reviews with

users complaining bout right side being out of focus or something. i

want to have the first hand opinions from ppl who have used this

    SIGMA.

  3. hey all

ok now everyone has heard bout the nikkor 80-200 being a gem of a

lens, with excellent sharpness and resolution. It has a excellent

build quality. But as with all nikkors this one costs a fortune. this

is where the Sigma EX comes in ... it is the EX series FAST lens. i

just wanted to know bout its performance and sharpness is it

comparable to the nikkor ? how about the corner to corner sharpness ?

i'll be doing a lot of Portraits...

    Cheers
