Leitz/leica Micro adapter... value? rarity? (more) in Leica and Rangefinders Posted March 5, 2003 The micro attachment mounts to a tripod or such. The lens mounts inside the helical cylinder, the camera body to the back. There is a focusing screen on the slide, the image is composed and focused, then the camera back is slid into place for the picture to be taken. I think there is an optional hood for this that I do not have. It is in wonderful shape (just a little dusty... I'll have to pull it from the box I have it stored in) though missing one small cork square that goes on one of the prongs of the "H" piece of metal that secures the camera body. Now, I'm not sure if it goes with a bayonet mount or a screw mount lens....
